Our friendly group is for any adults who are free on Wednesday mornings. It’s very easy to join us – just drop in! We meet in the foyer of Parish Church in the town centre every Wednesday.
We start with coffee and an informal chat at 10.30am, then the meeting proper runs from 11am to 12 noon.
We began in September 2016 and chose the name Shalom because it means the deep peace and wellbeing that only the living God can bring through Jesus Christ his son. Some of us were strangers to one another but now we see the beginning of friendship and community. We welcome anyone who walks into church during Wednesday mornings. So you never quite know whom you are going to meet!
We often make lunch together and we have done a couple of BBQs! We study the bible regularly, and we reach out to people on church square with the good news of God’s love. Our trips out have included the World of Glass and Liverpool Cathedral. We also make crafts on occasion and raise funds for good causes.
