The Organ

The Organ

The Organ in St Helens Parish Church is a three manual organ made by Harrison and Harrison of Durham. Installed in 1926, it was finally completed in 2001! The organ case was given by the Men’s bible class to mark their diamond Jubilee. Sadly, the organ has been out of action since Christmas 2022 following a flood which left the organ pump submerged in water. We hope to have it up and working again soon, it is a beautiful instrument enjoyed by musicians and congregations alike. Below is a recording of the organ being played by former Cambridge Organ Scholar Gabriel Chu before the flood.
